Amendment to NHS (Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations

Amendments to the NHS (Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations have been laid in parliament.  This means that from 1 October 2024, any applications made to the Pharmaceutical List will no longer require provision of details of suitable referees, and references will no longer be sought in relation to applications. Any applications made before October will still have to provide the details of referees as before. The amendments can be viewed here. Other amendments to the Regulations relating to the provision of drugs are also included and come into force on 1 January 2025. Contractors should ensure they are familiar with the changes.
