An introduction to general practice finance – commissioner focus

Strategic commissioners will understand that the financial stability of general practice is one of the cornerstones of ensuring sustainable services to patients.  Without a firm understanding how general practice is funded, it is difficult for commissioners to offer appropriate support.  PCC’s virtual training session will provide clarity on the NHS financial structures that underpin GP practices and primary care networks (PCNs). Delegates will learn how funding flows, income streams, including those that are locally determined, and expenditure is managed.
