Cancer earlier diagnosis campaigns launched

NHS England is running cancer campaigns to tackle barriers to timely presentation, targeting adults over 50, particularly from lower socio-economic groups and Black and South Asian backgrounds who are at greater risk of inequality. The campaign has a focus on abdominal and urological symptoms such as diarrhoea or tummy discomfort for three weeks or more, or blood in pee seen even just once. The campaigns run on TV, online, press, community radio, social media and search engines encourage people who have noticed something in their body that doesn’t feel right and are worried it could be cancer to contact their GP practice. Campaign resources are available.
