Commissioning primary care more flexibly

There are several options to commission all sectors of primary care in a tailored way to best meet the needs of local population.  Options include, local enhanced services, personal medical services, alternative provider medical services, local pharmaceutical services, personal dental services and via the NHS Standard Contract to secure services from primary care contractors. It is important integrated care boards understand what they have already commissioned, how these services are contracted, monitored, and ensure that they are receiving value.  PCC provides capacity to help ICBs review what is in place and help agree any changes that may be needed.  Contact enquiries@pcc-cic.org.uk to find out more.
