Community pharmacy advice audit
This report sets out the findings of the audit of more than a third (3,916) of community pharmacies carried out earlier this year. During the audit, 61,837 patient consultations fell outside of an NHS-funded service, with the average pharmacy completing around 22 such consultations a day. This equates to 69 million unfunded consultations taking place in England’s community pharmacies per year. This is nearly 50% more consultations than in 2020, and is despite the introduction of the Pharmacy First service.
