COVID-19 vaccination

The government has accepted the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation advice for COVID-19 vaccinations of at-risk children.  The vaccination letter explains that children aged 6 months to 4 years – in a defined clinical risk group – should be offered two vaccinations. First doses should be delivered by 12 June with second doses from August. The letter includes further information on the delivery models, identification and eligibility process and training. The COVID-19 enhanced service specification has been updated to reflect the change.  The interim clinical commissioning policy outlines the treatment options for remdesivir and molnupiravir in non-hospitalised adults and children aged 12 years and over.
