Darzi review 2024 – what next for primary care?

The Health Secretary announced an investigation into NHS performance and we now have the report by Professor Lord Darzi. Early indications are that integrated neighbourhood working will continue to be a central theme, with shifts of care from hospitals to the community and an increased focus on prevention. With reform on the horizon, it is more important than ever that commissioners, practices and PCNs are prepared and organised.

This workshop will:

• Reflect on the new government’s first few months in power and the early indicators of what we can expect from the new NHS 10-year plan from a primary care perspective
• Draw out the main themes from Darzi’s review and what these are likely to mean for primary care on the ground.
