Dental managed clinical networks can reshape patient pathways

One concern identified by Lord Darzi’s recent report was where patients end up in hospital where they could have received care in a community setting.  This article explores the role of dental managed clinical networks (MCNs) in implementing clinical standards in dentistry.  The responsibility for MCNs sits with integrated care boards.  These networks, made up of primary, secondary and tertiary care professionals, amongst others, develop pathways of care for their specialty, this may include moving care out of hospitals. This article explains more about the role of MCNs.  For support to review, revamp and re-energise your MCN contact enquiries@pcc-cic.org.uk.
