Destination AI: Signposting to adoption support from the joint NHSE and DHSC AI Team
It may seem like a complex journey at times when embarking on or trying to complete various stages on the road to the responsible adoption of AI. The joint NHSE and DHSC AI Team are here to help; here is a whistle-stop tour of stops along the way that can help keep your AI journey on track.

First stop: Public facing resources and the fundamentals of AI: The AI Knowledge Repository
The AI Knowledge Repository is a public-facing space with materials and guidance, covering a range of material specific to where the users are in their journey, and helping build knowledge and confidence, with resources indexed into Understand AI, Develop AI, AI in Practice and AI Spread and Scale. Among the resources featured are the highly anticipated Guidance on the use of AI-enabled ambient scribing products (including AI voice recognition technology) in health and care settings. The AI Knowledge repository also offers access to case studies covering the genesis, implementation and evaluation of several technologies being used now across health and social care. You don’t have to travel alone: The AI Virtual Hub
The AI Virtual Hub offers the potential for building a deeper level of knowledge, offering an expanded range of resources. It is also a space for sharing ideas and learning materials with others currently engaged in planning, implementing or using AI across health and social care. A curated newsfeed offers updates on AI policy across health and social care as it happens, and the hub also hosts an AI Network Directory signposting communities of practice for specific contexts based on colleague recommendations. Arriving at the meet-up, sharing and learning: AI Ambassador Network
The 5000+ strong AI Ambassador Network gives the opportunity to meet with and learn from colleagues at all stages of their AI journey, from planning through to utilisation. The monthly meetings feature speakers from the membership, presenting on areas that are important and timely to the network. The meetings also feature shorter speaker sessions where individuals share specific learning in AI across a variety of healthcare contexts. The Ambassador network is also planning dedicated sessions to introduce and explore specific areas of AI both conceptually and in context. Join the AI Ambassador Network.
