The second tranche of prisoners were released on 22 October 2024 under the Government’s initiative to reduce pressure across the prison estate. General practice and community pharmacy will continue to play an important role to ensure continuity of care. This letter outlines information to ensure GP practices and community pharmacy are ready to support individuals being released early from prison.
