EMIS – exclusion code on access to GP records

The application of the SNOMED CT exclusion (104) code is only applicable to individuals identified as at risk or have decided to opt-out of prospective record access. All patients with the 104 code applied at an EMIS practice when EMIS enables automatic access will need to be manually enabled afterwards to ensure they have prospective access. Advice on the bulk enabling of 104 code can be found on the NHS Futures website. General information on SNOMED codes can also be found on the NHS Digital website.
