General Practice Veteran Friendly Accreditation Programme

The Royal College of GPs and NHS England introduced the General Practice Veteran Friendly Accreditation Programme in 2018, to encourage GP practices to identify and support veterans and, where required, refer them to specialist healthcare services designed for them. Practices can still gain this accreditation and considering that the GP contract for 2024/2025 includes a requirement for GPs to have due regard to veteran’s health needs, GP practices, primary care networks, and primary care commissioners will find this session useful to find out more about the programme and to help them become accredited. By attending this session, GP practices, who are interested in gaining the accreditation, will have completed the online learning element of the accreditation.
