Giving patients online access to new GP health record entries

Three in four GP practices now provide online prospective record access by default and over 22 million online account users can see their health information. It is important that patients are aware when they have been given access. Materials and supporting text have been developed to let patients know about online access, including website copy, social media content, and a patient video. Resources are also available to promote online access through the NHS App.
