Guidance tackles price variations in colostomy bags

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence has published new healthtech guidance on one-piece closed bags for colostomies. Our guideline recommends that clinical appropriateness, patient needs, and preferences should be prioritised when choosing a bag. If more than one bag is suitable, the least expensive option should be used because there is no evidence to justify variations in price.
