HIV action plan monitoring

This report contains a public health analysis of progress towards meeting the aims of the HIV Action Plan for England. It finds that England continues to make strong progress with fewer HIV diagnoses overall and record levels of people using HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis. It also finds a major expansion of HIV testing with over 1.3 million people tested in sexual health services in 2024 and over 1.3 million people tested during the first 33 months of the programme of opt-out blood-borne virus testing in emergency departments.
