Indicator added to quality and outcomes framework

An indicator was added to the quality and outcomes framework for people with severe mental illness (SMI). MH021 is based on the percentage of patients with SMI who have received all six elements of the physical health check. The six elements include assessments on alcohol consumption and smoking status, body mass index, blood pressure, and blood lipid and HbA1c/glucose tests. Practices may wish to check they are on target to meet this indicator.
