Managing the primary care estate

Its essential integrated care boards (ICBs), primary care networks (PCNs) and practices to have clear plans to manage the primary care estate. Practices considering developments need strong business cases, primary care networks need to ensure their estate strategies are up to date, with clear identification of core, flex and tail categories and up to date costs for developments.  ICBs will wish to be assured all estate, including council and third party owned buildings are being utilised in the best way possible.  Investment in the primary care estate will need project management to ensure delivery to timescales.  PCC’s estates team have developed project initiation documents and business cases, written and updated PCN estate strategies, carried out reviews to optimise the use of space in individual practices, and across wider geographies, as well as provide project management for developments.  Contact enquiries@pcc-cic.org.uk to discuss how we can help you.
