Online access to GP records – EMIS practices

The updated GP contract requires practices to ensure that appropriate patients have online access to their prospective medical records by 31 October 2023. EMIS practices can request patient access is enabled by completing an opt-in form and selecting an available date – there’s still time to request enablement in August and NHS England will help practices prepare. If EMIS practices do not take advantage of these enablement dates, then they will have to enable patient access manually.
