Online access to new GP health record entries – ICO response

The Information Commissioners Office (ICO) has published a response to GP practices that submitted data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) in respect of enabling online prospective record access for all patients (unless exceptions apply). Practices that have been awaiting a response from the ICO before enabling access should now engage with their commissioners about their plans for providing access for all their patients and meeting their contractual obligations.
