Pharmacy quality scheme 2023/24

This year’s pharmacy quality scheme (PQS) launched on 1 June 2023 and consists of one gateway criterion (new medicine service) and three domains with annual funding of £45 million. It builds on previous work around respiratory disease, antimicrobial stewardship and improving access to end-of-life medicines. To qualify for the PQS payment, pharmacy contractors must meet the gateway criterion by the end of 31 December 2023 and claim payment during the declaration period.
