Polycystic ovary syndrome diagnosis and management
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) affects an estimated one in eight women and those assigned female at birth in the UK. Despite being one of the most common hormonal conditions, it remains under-diagnosed, poorly understood and inconsistently managed across the health system. In response to long-standing concerns raised by patients, clinicians and advocates, this formal inquiry examines the state of diagnosis, treatment and care. This report draws together lived experience, clinical expertise and system-level data to set out a case for action.
