Diabetes UK’s Reverse the Trend – Reducing type 2 diabetes in young people report, highlights the rise in cases of type 2 diabetes among people aged under 40. The NHS Type 2 Diabetes in the Young service initiative is a nationally funded intervention that offers additional protected time for this cohort and an opportunity to optimise referral to programmes, such as Pathway to Type 2 Diabetes Remission and the Healthy Living programme.
