Supporting GP practices

There are differences between all GP practices and reasons for the variation can be difficult to spot.  Some practices may struggle financially more than others, some may need help to address Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements or manage patient access well, sometimes its premises constraints or other reasons.  PCC has worked with hundreds of practices to identify why there may be differences, and to help practices work through issues.  We work with the practice, gathering information, sharing it back with the practice to ensure understanding.  We develop a forward plan with the practice.  We have reviewed finances and identified where practices may not be claiming what they should, finding areas where they could maximise income; worked with practices to address specific CQC concerns, and undertaken mock assessments.  We’ve carried out space utilisation reviews to make the best use of premises and worked through future workforce plans.  Contact enquiries@pcc-cic.org.uk to find how we can support your practices or visit www.pcc-cic.org.uk/practice-support
