Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a threat to global health and security. This report examines a critical, but often under-represented area of the United Kingdom’s approach to AMR – optimising antimicrobial prescribing. It considers how better digital approaches could act as an exemplar of applying AI-based tools and wearable technology for the betterment of society and discusses how technology can be harnessed to support optimal antimicrobial prescribing behaviours.
