The Yorkshire & Humber Kidney Network

On 14 March, the Yorkshire & Humber Kidney Network (YHKN) and West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board took part in World Kidney day. World Kidney day is all about highlighting how big an issue kidney disease is, 1.2million in the UK unknowingly have kidney disease and this year’s campaign focussed on promoting kidney health for all, advancing equitable access to care and optimal medication practice. Various community events took place across the region as well as webinars to engage with primary and secondary healthcare professionals to help raise awareness. The YHKN’s chronic kidney disease lead, Dr Sunil Daga, also hosted an insightful webinar on optimising kidney health available here – Optimising Kidney Health for All.  You may read more about the YHKN’s ongoing projects in their latest Newsletter here.
