Local activity to tackle poverty

This report maps strategic local activity to tackle poverty. It considers how many councils in England have anti-poverty strategies in place and how many English councils have voluntarily adopted the socio economic duty. This research analyses responses to a Freedom of Information Act request sent to all local authorities in England. The analysis finds that 16% of councils have an anti-poverty strategy in place, with a further 19% planning to implement one within the next year.
